[Shiho's home today, spending time with Wallace the Wombat CYBuddy so she's the one who goes to answer the door.
Thanks to the psychometry, she doesn't even need to open the door to see who it is. She almost hesitates before reminding herself that if Yona really was going to hate her for her powers that it was always best just to get that out of the way instead of letting herself cling to some kind of false hope.]
[Shiho's expression tries for calm, even on seeing the way Yona's smile starts to falter, as she tells herself that it's fine. She doesn't care. Everything's fine. She's older now and nothing can hurt her ever again if she doesn't let it.]
I'd love to. [Love is perhaps a strong word, but this is definitely not a conversation to be had at the threshold. Besides, she wants the other girl to feel comfortable. As comfortable as possible, anyway. Actual comfort is not something either of them are likely to be feeling any time soon.]
[Shiho knows she's probably over-reacting. But it's hard to have been so often shunned and neglected for being what she was since she was five years old, knowing that adults found her terrifying, and come out completely normal.
She steps aside, arms crossed in a practiced effort to show Yona that she was going to keep her hands and her powers to herself. She should offer her tea. She knows that, but it feels so much like prolonging the inevitable.
Wallace the giant wombat CYBuddy though, doesn't feel that same worry and tumbles on over to snuggle against Shiho's legs and then Yona's.]
Ah...uh...sorry about him. Do you want some water?
It's like...a computer? [Does Yona know about computers...She didn't read anything about that and is not actually sure.]
Sort of a huge, furry computer than takes up space on the couch. [And is cute and perfect for snuggling with after a long day. Shiho sits on the armchair nearby, arms crossing again almost defensively.]
...so what did you want to talk about? [Since she's sure Yona didn't come here just to cuddle with Wallace.]
[What she's sorry for is more that she read Yona at all. It was an invasion of her privacy and it bothers her that she'd done something like that and not even known at the time.]

[And because she's starting to ramble a bit, Shiho breaks off and looks to Wallace then to her own hands.]
But it wasn't your fault! You didn't know what you were doing! [She reaches out to take Shiho's hand.] You can't blame yourself for an innocent mistake. And you were suffering too. Your memory never should have been taken like that.
pShiho freezes up as soon as Yona touches her hands. Willingly of all things and there's never been a way for her to switch off her psychometry so she can read everything Yona's thinking.]
Wh-What do you think you're doing? I can read everything you think and everything about you if you do that-
[Weirdly enough, Yona had forgotten about that detail — her instinct to touch other people took over. But even after being reminded, she doesn't pull back.]
That's okay. I don't have anything to hide. [And she wants Shiho to know how sincere she is. She doesn't want the other girl to have any doubts.]

[Shiho's blushing and this annoys her a lot but she's not doing anything about it or pulling away because she likes this point of contact and likes being trusted not to do anything with her powers or with anything she sees.]
I don't mean to embarrass you. I'm just telling the truth. [She squeezes Shiho's hand just a little, glad that she came. She had been afraid to face the other girl, but it really does feel much better to have everything out in the open.]
[Sometimes Shiho forgets that she's not the only one who's afraid, especially when her first reaction is to distrust people and to push them away. But at the same time, the fact that Yona had those same feelings and that their thoughts were so similar has her squeezing back just a little too.]
[Shiho stiffens when Yona pulls her into a hug because people actively reaching out to touch her and to be near her still isn't a thing that happens a lot and the fact that Yona was doing this so easily was just....
Shiho's blushing and she refuses to admit it.]
Y-Yeah. We don't want that guy getting worried or something.
